An official Sanctuary of the Covenant of Hekate

The Sanctuary of Hecate Brimo emerged from a blend of sorrow, disaster, and hope. Initially named the Sanctuary of Hecate Trivia, it was established on May 18, 2015. However, after Hurricane Matthew struck in October 2016, my entire property was inundated with floodwaters contaminated by human and animal waste, chemicals, and the wreckage of flooded farms. This devastation forced me to close the Sanctuary.

After spending eight years in a travel trailer, finding stability for the Sanctuary has been challenging. Yet, rather than leaving this place filled with sadness, I’ve chosen to stay and serve those in need.

From the remnants of despair, I feel to redirect this energy and restore the to these lands in the wake of a global pandemic and rising conflict. I am establishing the Sanctuary of Hecate Brimo as an official sanctuary of the Covenant of Hekate. During my last dedication ritual, I witnessed an image in the flames that resembled the goddess holding a torch, a sign of acceptance my intended work. Now, like a phoenix rising, she has called me to reignite my mission under her guidance.

To me, nothing is more formidable than a mother protecting her young. I envision Hecate Brimo as a fierce mother, driven by anger to save her suffering children. Recognizing her as the mother of all and the source of our souls, her fury ignites when she sees the homeless and neglected animals. This anger transforms into action we seek her wisdom to assist others. At the Sanctuary of Hecate Brimo, my aim is to honor her byating my body, mind, and spirit to helping those in need and uplifting those who have fallen.

The Sanctuary of Hecate Brimo is not a magical or spiritual tradition; rather, it is a community brought together by our shared passion for the Goddess Hecate in her various forms and manifestations in the 21st century.

I am Rev. Renee Sosanna Olson, a seasoned practitioner with a diverse skill set dedicated to fostering balance and harmony in the mind, body, and spirit.

As a Master Sound Healer, I specialize in healing frequencies emitted by crystal bowls. These therapeutic sounds resonate with the core of one's being, facilitating transformative experiences. Holding the title of Certified Yogi Master, in additional to my other credentials, I bring the profound teachings of yoga into the contemporary landscape, guiding individuals on a journey of physical and mental wellness.

My commitment to holistic well-being extends to certifications in lifestyle management and work/life balance. These credentials and my role as a Holistic Wellness Counselor empower me to guide individuals toward comprehensive well-being, focusing on a whole food plant-based lifestyle that includes mindfulness and meditation.

In the realm of spiritual support, I offer my skills as a sound healer and yogi to provide spiritual counseling. This encompasses a range of services, from oracle readings that illuminate spiritual paths to photo readings that unravel the complexities of life.

As the founder of the Sanctuary of Hecate Brimo, I am committed to fostering a community that embraces diversity, inclusivity, and spiritual growth. The sanctuary serves as a sacred space for seekers to explore the transformative energies of Hecate and connect with like-minded souls on the path of self-discovery.

Beyond the spiritual realm, my commitment extends to community service project. The Blessing Box of Goldsboro provides support to the food and housing insecure in our local community. All products and services sold on my website are used to help fill these boxes with food, water and clothing as well as seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables. The Sanctuary Commitment

The Sanctuary of Hecate Brimo will be a virtual first sanctuary where I will support and guide those looking to walk with Hecate along the middle path. We will honor the five virtues and conduct our days in line with the goddess. We will focus our energy on helping those in need, protecting those who cannot protect themselves, and lifting those who have fallen.

The physical sanctuary will be located in Seven Springs, North Carolina, on a small 1 acre plot near the Neuse River. When possible, we will conduct rituals for the dark moon and solstices.

Our work for the community will support those less fortunate by supporting our local outreach groups. Blessing Box of Goldsboro.

We will be a public sanctuary open to members and non-members of CoH.

The Blessing Box of Goldsboro is a program that sets up boxes around the area that can be filled with food, clothing, or other items for those who need help. As part of the monthly deipnon, we will donate and work with others to collect donations for these boxes.

The destruction of my sanctuary guided a refocus of my sanctuary and my Torchbearer's commitment to the Covenant of Hekate and Hecate herself. Passing my dedication from Trivia to Brimo, I transfer this energy towards my new path and experiences through her eyes.

I see Hecate Brimo not merely as a symbol of wrath but as a fierce protector akin to a mother shielding her young. In this fierce protection lies an unparalleled strength and determination, an energy that can be harnessed for the greater good. I believe that the anger embodied by Hecate Brimo is a powerful force that, when focused, can be channeled into effecting real change in the world.

My Torchbearer commitment is to utilize Hecate Brimo's energy as a tool for advocacy, transformation, and empowerment. I aspire to be a vessel for change, to focus the goddess' formidable strength on creating pathways for those in need. Application for Membership to the Covenant of Hekate

Membership application process:

Please take time to read the documents provided here resources and carefully consider whether they resonate with you. you may also want to read some of the books and websites on our “recommended reading list” to learn a little more about the goddess Hekate if you have not done so already. You may also want to consider whether our membership guidelines and code of ethics based on the “five virtues” align with your own views and personal moral compass.

Read up about the goddess Hekate and her various attributions. Many articles can be found for free in resources which can be found here.
Read the covenant guidelines and code of ethics, which can be found here.
Fill in and submit the Q&A form at the bottom of this page.
Once your Q&A form has been received, we will contact you and may possibly ask you more questions and have an informal chat.

If you are successful, you will then be asked to write a devotional hymn and perform the devotee's rite, a copy of which can be found here.

Prepare for the rite of the devotee: this includes getting everything ready for the ritual, deciding which full moon you wish to perform the Rite of the Devotee at, and also writing your personal hymn to the goddess Hekate in readiness for the ritual.
Perform the rite of the devotee at the full moon, and then email the date, place, and time you performed the ritual, along with a copy of your hymn to Hekate here with your application.
When your application is received, you will be contacted by email and sent a copy of the Rite of the Red Cord (the final part of the membership process) as well as information on how to access the private member-only Facebook group.

Sanctuary of Hecate Brimo Torchbearer Mentorship

Invitation for current members of the Covenant of Hekate who have been members in good standing for at least the last 6 months can request to join the Sanctuary of Hecate Brimo's Mentorship program.

Devotees can request to join a 4-6 month program to develop their skills and complete the requirements of the Covenant of Hekate's Torchbearer affiliation. If you meet these requirements, complete the form below and Rev. Olson will contact you about your request.
